The closed cell foam strip is weather proof, oil resistance, resistant to corrosion, dust proof, shock-absorbing, buffering, sealing, flame retardant, sound proof, heat insulation, anti-skidding and insulating
The foam seal tape is made from environmental protection material, CR foam, Neoprene, which has excellent sealing and resistance to deformation feature, toxic free, can be used from -50℃ to 152℃
This Expanding Foam Tape is a high performance sealing tape, impregnated with an acrylic-based polymer. It is used to seal exterior seams and joints against driving rain in window or door installation, as well as metal, wood and construction application. This tape provides a seal against the most demanding environmental conditions from “Air / Dust” to “Water / Driving Rain” at 600 Pa. It can be applied in the wet and also can also be painted over to provide different colour finishes.
Window and Door Frames
When placed in position, the strip expands to fill the gap; creating the seal. The self adhesive backing makes installation quick, easy and clean! It provides a permanently elastic weather seal against the elements.
Item sent shrink wrapped to ensure rolls stay compressed in transit and storage.
Choose the Right Size:
Ensure that the expanding foam tape you select is suitable for joints with a width of 6mm to 15mm. This information should be provided by the manufacturer on the product packaging or in the product specifications.
Clean the surfaces of the joints thoroughly to remove any dust, dirt, or debris. A clean surface ensures better adhesion.
Cutting the Tape:
Measure the length of the joint and cut the expanding foam tape accordingly. Make sure to use a sharp utility knife or scissors for a clean cut.
Apply the expanding foam tape to the joint, making sure it adheres well to both surfaces. Press down gently to ensure good contact.
Expanding foam tape typically expands after application to fill gaps and create a tight seal. Follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding expansion, curing time, and any other specific guidelines.
Trim any excess foam tape using a utility knife or scissors once it has fully expanded and cured. This ensures a neat and tidy finish.
Painting or Sealing:
Some expanding foam tapes can be painted over or sealed with appropriate coatings if necessary. Check the product specifications to ensure compatibility with your specific requirements.
Temperature and Weather Considerations:
Be mindful of the temperature and weather conditions during application. Some expanding foam tapes may have specific temperature requirements for optimal performance.
