Description
Stocked in black, white and red oxide, SIL16 sponge strip is a medium density closed-cell silicone that is very popular in sealing applications, particularly where vibration dampening properties are required (such as lighting housing gaskets).
Silex sponge strips are often used for sealing electrical enclosures, exterior light fittings and handheld instruments, protecting them from moisture and dust ingress.
This product is supplied slit from sheeting, with a skin on the top and bottom. SIL16 sponge strips are also available in an extruded format, with a skin on all four sides.
Slit Strips are available in 10m length. 15mm thick strips are only available in 5m lengths.
