A professional-grade matwell frame is the difference between an entrance mat that looks installed and one that looks like it was dropped on the floor. This precision-engineered aluminium frame creates a fully recessed matwell installation — the mat sits flush with the surrounding floor surface, with a clean polished border that completes the look and protects the mat edge from lifting, curling, or becoming a trip hazard.
Compatible with all 17mm thick entrance matting — including natural coir matting and polypropylene barrier matting. Available in two classic commercial finishes: Silver Chrome and Gold Brass.

Finish Guide
- Silver Chrome — highly polished silver chrome effect. The most widely specified finish for modern commercial premises, offices, hotels, and contemporary residential properties. Pairs with all mat colours but particularly striking with anthracite barrier matting.
- Gold Brass — polished gold brass effect. The traditional choice for period properties, hotels with classic interiors, upmarket residential entrances, and anywhere a warmer metallic tone complements the décor.
Installation
Cut a recess into your floor to the outside dimensions of the frame (inside mat dimension + 84mm each direction to account for the 42mm border on each side). Set the 4 pre-drilled mitred frame sections into the recess and secure using appropriate fixings for your floor type. Drop your 17mm entrance mat into the frame opening. The mat surface will sit flush with the surrounding floor. No adhesive required for the mat — the frame holds it in position.
The pre-drilled fixing holes make installation straightforward for a competent DIYer or any flooring contractor. All 4 sections are supplied cut and mitred — no cutting or mitreing required on-site.
